Author Guidelines

We welcome submissions of original, previously unpublished research papers, review papers and case studies demonstrating clear contributions to engineering simulation. Submissions should emphasise the practical applications of engineering simulation techniques.

Manuscripts should consist of 20 pages (A4) maximum.

When submitted, manuscripts are initially reviewed by the Editorial Team. If the manuscript matches the Journal's scope and meets all requirements, it will undergo a single-blind peer review. Reviewers evaluate the manuscripts based on their technical quality, clarity, commercialism, formatting and language, relevance, and originality.

Articles will be available in the Journal's next issue if accepted.

Publication Fee

  • for manuscripts based on your presentation at a qualifying NAFEMS Event – Free*,
  • for manuscripts submitted by a NAFEMS Member - Free*,
  • for all other submissions - 500 EUR*.

*Pricing may be adjusted according to NAFEMS' discretion.

Editing Service

NAFEMS offers an optional language editing service that can help showcase the author's work in the best light possible. The fee for this service is 300 EUR, which only needs to be paid after the article has been accepted for publishing.

Submission Preparation Checklist

All submissions must meet the Guide for Authors document requirements and use the Journal Template without exception. All necessary fields should be completed in the submission form, and the manuscript uploaded using the template in ".docx" format. Submissions which do not meet these requirements will be automatically rejected without question.

Copyright Notice

Authors retain the copyright to their work. Authors grant NAFEMS Ltd. exclusive rights to publish their article under the CC BY-NC-ND 4.0 end-user license.
